Biography
Dr. Curtis is a board-certified internist. She was born and raised in Maryland, growing up in Montgomery County and attending the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She went on to attend George Washington University where she received her Master’s Degree in Forensic Science. Dr. Curtis traveled to St. Maarten, where she attended the American University of the Caribbean and returned back to the Baltimore area for her clinical rotations. She stayed in Baltimore and completed her residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, and in her final year distinguishing herself as the Chief Resident for the Internal Medicine program.
Dr. Curtis has been in practice since 2002, and since that time she has had the opportunity to practice in multiple settings. Initially, Dr. Curtis worked for Kaiser Permanente, but once starting her family she transitioned to a smaller hospital-based practice at Seton Medical Group. Most recently she has been practicing closer to home in Howard County with Centennial Medical Group.
Dr. Curtis has chosen to join Privia in order to provide her more personalized care in a solo practice setting. She is looking forward to continuing care for her patients in a patient-centered and holistic way. She looks forward to growing her practice further and meeting the needs of her staff, her patients, and her community.
