Biography

Jaclyn Tozaki was born in D.C., but grew up in Montgomery County, MD. In 2006, she moved to St. Louis, MO and attended Maryville University of Saint Louis where she earned her B.S. in Nursing in 2009. Shortly after graduation, she moved back to MD, and started her nursing career at Shady Grove Medical Center located in Rockville, MD. She worked in several in-patient units before discovering her passion for emergency nursing. Throughout her nursing career, she worked in several local emergency departments to include: Shady Grove Medical Center, Howard County General Hospital, and Inova Fairfax Medical Center.

In 2018, she decided to return to Maryville University of Saint Louis to enter into a graduate program to obtain her M.S. in Nursing. In May 2021, Jaclyn graduated and successfully passed her board exam for Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Since beginning her career as a NP, Jaclyn has worked in both women’s health as well as primary care. In June 2022, she joined Ellicott City Primary Care with Dr. Debra Curtis and her wonderful team. Since being a part of the team, she has had the pleasure of welcoming many new patients to the practice, and meeting many of the established patients as well.

Jaclyn calls Ellicott City home and enjoys spending her free time with her family. She has 2 daughters, Arianna and Vera, and is married to a Howard County Fire and Rescue Captain, Keegan. Now that she is settling in, she is hoping to have more time to travel the world, and to discover/re-discover her hobbies.
